Alicante is located in the south-east of the Iberian Peninsula, directly on the Costa Blanca – one of the most beautiful Spanish coasts. The Romans named the city "Lucentum", city of light, and captured the character of this radiant palm-lined city facing the sea, which enjoys an extremely pleasant climate.

Stylish boulevards, the modern yacht port, the picturesque and architectonically interesting old town quarter, modern shopping districts, and the palm-lined sandy beaches provide a lot of variety and remain in visitors memories for years to come.

The numerous sand and stone beaches in and around Alicante offer many opportunities for enjoying time outside of the classroom. Not only can you sail or surf, but also snorkel in marvellous waters, some of which are under conservation.

The mountains over 1,500 meters above Alicante are also inviting for hiking and climbing tours.

THE LANGUAGE SCHOOL

Our Spanish language school in Alicante is located in the city centre, just beside the central market hall.

Our modern air-conditioned classrooms have a friendly atmosphere and excellent technical equipment, both of which are essential for achieving effective learning. The students have free access to Internet and a library with Spanish literature at their disposal.

Our committed team consists of qualified native speakers who have considerable experience in working with foreign students. They know how to pass on their motivation and their enthusiasm to their pupils, which enables the latter to immerse themselves in the Spanish language and culture in a cordial and creative atmosphere.

You enjoy a shared apartment, fully-equipped with kitchen, bath, and living room and provide for your self.

Family accommodation
Accommodations in a Spanish family offers the opportunity to strengthen your language knowledge in a family atmosphere and experience the Spanish culture in close contact. Your family can consist of a family with or without children, an older couple, a single person or a Spanish student. You share the kitchen, bathroom and sitting room with the family. Use of the kitchen by agreement with the family.

>> TEACHING METHODS

The classes will be carried out entirely in Spanish from the first day for every language level.

In order to ensure effective instruction and long-term learning success, we apply modern teaching methods that are oriented toward the interests and capabilities of the students.

The necessary material (grammar, vocabulary, etc.) is taught in a diverse and varied fashion. Theoretical knowledge is applied regularly in practical areas through listening and speaking exercises, conversation exercises, discussions, and role-playing.

:: INTENSIVE COURSES

Daily: 3 lessons

The foundation of our course program is instruction in small groups of 3-10 students. It takes place from Monday to Friday covers 3 hours daily. Seven course levels are offered: from beginner to advanced courses. The minimum to enrol is 2 weeks.
We don´t offer this course in summer (July-September).

Daily: 5 lessons

The foundation of our course program is instruction in small groups of 3-10 students. It take place from Monday to Friday covers 5 hours daily. Seven course levels are offered: from beginner to advanced courses. The minimum to enrol is 2 weeks.

>> LEVELS

Our language school in Alicante offers all course levels: starting with a total beginner course and ending with the perfection level. The indications of level of all our courses are oriented at the European frame of reference.

This way, after the level homogeneous learn groups can be built so that nobody gets bored or feels overchallenged. There are 6 course levels> a1. a2, b1, b2, c1, and c2.

The level test will be sent 2 weeks before the course starts. We are going to discuss the results with you. In general, it is possible to change the course later. If required, intermediate groups can be built.

We can offer tailor made courses or individual classes all over the year. The classes can be arranged flexibly regarding quantity and schedule.

Daily: 6 lessons

Besides the 5 hours in a group of 3 to 10 students, the students have an additional hour per day of individual instruction. The minimum to enrol is 2 weeks.

>> GUARANTEE OF QUALITY

Our Spanish language school in Alicante is accredited by the "Instituto Cervantes" since 2003 and accepted by CSN to receive students with Swedish state funded loans and grants to study abroad.

All the courses with 30 hours per week are recognized as "Bildungsurlaub" in Germany (Berlin, Brandenburg, Hamburg, Hessen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Rheinland-Pflalz).

:: SPECIAL COURSES

>> Preparation for D.E.L.E. - Exams
Daily: 6 lessons

This course prepares the student to obtain the "Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera" (D.E.L.E.) carried out by the Instituto Cervantes. The course offers per week 25 lessons intensive course plus 5 extra hours in a mini-group (1-5 students), focusing on the preparation of the exam. An extra tutor will supervise the supplementary studies, analyse the participant's own particular needs and helps the student to enrol in the appropriate level. The examination fee is not included in our prices.

>> Spanish Teacher Training Course
25 hours per week

This course is designed for Spanish teachers who want to perfect their level of Spanish and improve their didactical and methodical skills. The course has a duration of 2 weeks and takes place in March and September.
